Purpose

This workshop empowers delegates to:

Module 1:
Understand the content and relevance of the following:
• Skills Development Legislative Framework; Occupational

• Apprenticeships; Skills Programmes; Discretionary Grant
• Funding Opportunities.
• Roles and responsibilities of the Skills Development Facilitator.
• Organisational commitment to skills development.


To understand and be able to implement aspects related to Moderation:
• Creating a learning culture.
• The Business Planning process and Skills Development.
• Setting up and maintaining a Training Committee.
• Identify training, education and skills development needs.
• Identify and implement training interventions.
• Prepare a workplace skills plan in accordance with SETA requirements.


Understand and be able to implement aspects related to the Moderation process:
• Develop a system to administer training and skills development initiatives.
• Prepare and implement an organisational training schedule.
• Prepare an Annual Training Report in accordance with SETA requirements.

• Review the effectiveness and impact of training interventions.
• Develop and implement a Quality Management System.


Module 2:
Understand and be able to implement aspects related to the Moderation process:
• Develop a system to administer training and skills development initiatives.
• Prepare and implement an organisational training schedule.
• Prepare an Annual Training Report in accordance with SETA requirements
• Review the effectiveness and impact of training interventions.
• Develop and implement a Quality Management System.

• Compiling a Skills Development Plan for a Unit/Organisation.
• Motivate the Types of Learning Programmes Described in the Plan.
• Main Features of Different Types of Learning Programmes.
• Main Features of Different Delivery Modes of Learning Programmes.
• Link the Objectives and Outcomes of the Planned Learning Programmes.
• Stipulate the Responsibilities for the Implementation of the plan.
• Motivate the Role of the Unit Manager into Talent Management and People Development.


Module 4:
• Managing the Implementation of the Personal Development Plans for a Unit/Organisation.
• Monitor the Implementation of the PDP Analyse Implementation Reports.
• Integrate the Evaluation of Learners and Other Parties into Final Evaluation Report.
• Manage the Implementation of the PDP of a Unit.
• Return on Investment ROI.
