Afri Training Institute is a black female-owned, Level 1 B-BBEE training provider that offers you or your employee’s training solutions that unlock opportunities.

As one of the leading training companies in Cape Town, Afri Training focuses on employee training and development, delivering accredited business skills training and staff development programmes across industries.

With 115 years of collective experience in the skills development industry, we have creatively customised training programmes to make training cost-effective for you or your business.

Mrs. Nicholls'

The town of Nababeep in the Northern Cape served as Mrs. Nicholls’ home during her early life. Here, she battled to secure opportunities and change her circumstances. As a black woman in Apartheid South Africa, she faced significant challenges in being recognised and heard, both personally and professionally.

Nevertheless, her determination to succeed never faltered. She pledged to create equal opportunities for others once she achieved success. This determination led to the establishment of the Solutions for Africa Group. Thanks to Mrs. Nicholls’ unwavering resolve, hundreds of individuals now enjoy permanent employment across diverse industries.

As part of the Solutions for Africa (SFA) Group, Afri-Training Institute participates in, and benefits from the SFA Scholarship initiative.

The program aims to identify unemployed young adults and equip them with vital industry skills and knowledge by providing access not only to a number of accredited courses and qualifications, but also to an immersion into the day-to-day business environment. Following successful completion by the candidate, the group companies can actively recruit and champion the cause of any young, promising individuals identified.

In line with our broader transformation goals, the initiative also supports the inclusion of people with disabilities, recognising their potential, breaking down access barriers, and working toward a workforce that reflects the full diversity of our society.

It is this sense of shared purpose and self-worth that drive us to continue investing in empowering communities to bring about societal change. To date, the program has seen 65 enrolled learners, 17 of which have gone on to secure permanent, full-time employment with one of the SFA companies. Many have gone on to secure employment back in their respective communities too. Our current intake of 35 are at different stages of their learning journey, soon to enter the employment market as qualified and equipped contributors to the economy.
